This is a short, quick read about Jess Pike, an author who signs the lease for a cottage without having seen it in person. Even though it's rundown and has a lot of mystery surrounding it, she quickly falls in love with Enysyule, the cat who lives there and the village she now lives in. But then the history and secrets surrounding her new home catch up on her and she has to fight for its future.
When I read hauls, I am always wondering where everyone else gets their books (especially if we're talking about uncommon editions), why they picked them and how they can afford so many. So I thought I would specify all those things for you, in case you were weirdly interested like me 😊 If you click the title of the book, it will send you to the site where I bought it (or where it can be bought, if I didn't purchase it myself).
From the bottom up
This is the story about five Australian girls going on a big, awesome backpacking adventure. That is until it turns out that Kit, the glue of the group, the girl who brought them together and knows all of them, can't go. Now the other four girls have an added stress factor to this holiday, and that while each of them already has their own worries.
Definitely the best book so far.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It has a Jewish MC and a wonderful hate to love relationship. The growth, both in the relationship as in the characters themselves, was wonderful.
Apparently, none of the books I've read over the last two months are available to take pictures with. They were all either ebooks or borrowed, so yeah 🙈😊
This was an interesting period. At the end of March, I started getting out of my reading slump and I was going strong until half April. After that, I spent six weeks in the hospital because of mental health issues. Predictably, this exhausted me completely and I read practically nothing anymore. So here's a combined wrap-up of April and May, in which I read 12 books.
I loved this book!
After a natural disaster and world war III, some people started manifesting real, superhero powers. Jess, a bisexual, biracial high school girl is the daughter of the town's two superheroes and feels like she's the only one in the family who isn't special. But normal life can still surprise her, and how!
A reading slump is this thing you fall into in which you just don't have any motivation to read anymore. You might want to want to read, but you're not there yet. It feels like you just can't. Usually, that also means you can catch up on your series again, with all this extra free time.
It can be extremely frustrating, especially if you had set goals or get bored. That's why I decided to share some ideas with you to get out of your slump.
The Unpopular Opinion Book Tag was created by TheBookArcher and you can see the original video here. As you might've guessed from the name, the purpose is sharing opinions that most people disagree with. I love seeing and reading those, so I thought I'd do one myself 😊
A popular book or series that you didn't like.
